What We Collect
- Your phone number — used for WhatsApp login and messaging
- Books, highlights, notes, and reading progress you share with PageKeeper
- Messages you send to PageKeeper AI via WhatsApp
How We Use Your Data
- To provide and personalize the PageKeeper reading companion experience
- To generate insights and connections across your reading library
- To send recall prompts if you enable them
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on managed PostgreSQL infrastructure with provider-level encryption for backups and disk volumes. All traffic between you, WhatsApp, and our servers is protected with TLS in transit.
On top of that, we apply additional protections to your most sensitive data:
- Your in-flight conversation transcripts with PageKeeper AI are encrypted at rest using AES-GCM 256-bit.
- Your phone number and message content are automatically redacted from our application logs and observability tools.
- Books, highlights, notes, and reading progress are stored as regular database fields (not field-level encrypted). They are protected by the infrastructure encryption above and by access controls; we are exploring extending field-level encryption to this content in a future update.
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties.
Third-Party Services
- WhatsApp (Meta) — for messaging delivery
- OpenAI / OpenRouter — for AI-powered features (messages are processed but not stored by these providers)
